A well-established client in the hospitality industry in Fort Beaufort is looking to appoint a Restaurant & Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant and kitchen.
Requirements:
Matric Diploma in Hotel Management, Food and Beverage, or a related field Minimum of 2 years proven experience in hospitality / restaurant management Fluent in English (additional fluency in isiXhosa or Afrikaans is advantageous) Numeracy proficiency Computer literacy - Microsoft Office and food & beverage management software POS experience (Unisolv, Gaap, Pilot etc.) Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work shifts that meet operational requirements Valid drivers’ licenseResponsibilities include:
Implement and monitor service standards, policies, and processes to ensure a high-quality guest experience. Oversee daily operations, including staffing, inventory, and budget management. Train, mentor, and manage the restaurant team of four staff members (two front house and two kitchen), fostering a culture of service excellence. Monitor guest feedback, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes to enhance guest satisfaction. Support the team in achieving sales, up-selling, and waste reduction targets. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations. Collaborate with purchasing to select suitable suppliers for the restaurant’s needs.
