PRINCIPAL PROFESSIONAL OFFICER: STRATEGY
TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1,245,505 TO R1,732,092 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: FPR 14/25 ● CIVIC CENTRE, CAPE TOWN
Requirements:
- A relevant postgraduate degree (Master's degree is preferred)
- At least eight (8) years' relevant experience.
Key performance areas:
- Facilitate and undertake the development, drafting and approval of complex City-wide strategies
- Support the identification, conceptualisation and delivery of activities critical to the implementation of City strategies, through the delivery of strategy implementation plan
- Facilitate and drive the establishment of priority work packages linked to the implementation of City Strategies
- Provide concept support and work with relevant departments to deliver and report on strategic work packages
- Provide strategic support, advice and counsel to the City's political and executive leadership
- Problem-solve complex strategy issues
- Meet with internal and external stakeholders to deliver City strategies
- Establish workgroups, utilise processes, work transversally to support the development of the City's strategic eco-system
- Develop training instruments to support the City's strategy ecosystem
- Develop key relationships and networks within the city organisation to support the strategy ecosystem
- Support policy analysts through the strategy development process
- Leverage existing City processes, resources and functions to achieve strategic objectives through targeted interventions
- Perform functions in an acting capacity when required.
