Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to hotel recipes and standards. Work independently during the overnight shift to ensure timely production and preparation for the next days service. Ensure all items are baked to perfection, maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation. Follow all recipes and production schedules while adjusting for inventory and demand. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the baking area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering baking supplies, ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Ensure the correct use and maintenance of baking equipment, reporting any issues or necessary repairs to the kitchen management team. Maintain proper food handling and hygiene practices to ensure the safety of all products produced. Assist in the development of new baked goods or seasonal items as needed. Work collaboratively with the pastry team to ensure all products are ready for service and meet the hotels standards. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a similar role within a professional kitchen or bakery. Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and ingredient handling. Ability to work independently and efficiently during the overnight shift. Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation of baked goods. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Ability to manage time effectively and meet production deadlines. Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
