ENVIRONMENT:

A dynamic Mobile Specialist seeks a highly confident, proactive & digitally savvy individual to join their Sales team in Cape Town as an Online Sales Key Account Manager. This role will focus on managing and growing key online sales accounts, including e-commerce platforms, digital marketplaces, and online retailers. You will combine strategic account management with digital business development to drive online sales growth, optimize product visibility, and ensure seamless digital customer experiences. Applicants will need 3-5 years work experience in Online Sales/eCommerce Account Management, or Digital Business Development, with a strong understanding of digital marketplaces and direct-to-consumer platforms and the strong ability to pitch, negotiate, and close deals in an online sales environment. You also need to be proficient with eCommerce platforms (e.g. Takealot, Amazon, Shopify).

DUTIES:

Online Account Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Online Sales accounts, including eCommerce retailers, online marketplaces, and direct-to-consumer platforms. Track and analyse online sell-in and sell-out run rates, ensuring accurate forecasting and inventory management. Optimize digital product listings, ensuring accurate descriptions, competitive pricing, and compelling visual content. Monitor and improve customer ratings, reviews, and overall brand perception on online platforms. Address and resolve client issues promptly to enhance satisfaction and retention.

Digital Business Development -

Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the companys online presence and market share. Conduct online sales prospecting, identify emerging e-commerce trends, and engage with digital retailers. Develop and implement strategies to increase conversion rates, sales velocity, and customer engagement. Work closely with Marketing teams to optimize digital campaigns, promotions, and search engine visibility. Provide competitor insights and market intelligence to inform pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies.

Sales Strategy and Execution -

Implement data-driven sales strategies to meet or exceed online revenue and profitability targets. Conduct regular performance analysis of online accounts, identifying key growth drivers and optimization opportunities. Develop and deliver digital sales presentations and business proposals tailored to online retailers. Ensure alignment between online sales objectives and overall company goals. Submit timely and accurate sales reports, forecasts, and key performance insights.
