Intermediate Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant Green Point, Cape Town – Office Based
Salary R25K CTC - Negotiable on experience

Criteria:
· + relevant Financial Diploma/Degree in Accounting (would be advantageous)
· Proficiency in any accounting software e.g. Xero/QuickBooks
· Min 2 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting (experience in the tourism industry is a plus).
KPA’s:
Financial Record-Keeping:
· Record daily financial transactions accurately in accounting software.
· Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are properly documented.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
· Process invoices, payments, and receipts promptly.
· Assist in following up on outstanding client payments.
Bank Reconciliations:
· Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
· Monitor, Track, and categorize expenses to ensure proper budget allocation.
· Assist in preparing expense reports for management review.
Tax Compliance:
· Prepare and file VAT returns and other tax submissions in compliance with regulations.
· Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
Payroll Management:
· Process employee payroll, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments.
· Maintain records of employee hours, benefits, and deductions.
· Prepare payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Reporting:
· Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
· Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
Technical & Soft Skills:
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
· High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
