Description:
Hire Resolve's Client are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records, ensure accurate reporting, and oversee financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting, payroll, accounts reconciliation, and financial process improvements. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts and statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and process transactions timely.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditures.
- Manage debtor and creditor accounts, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.
- Prepare monthly financial reports.
Payroll Administration:
- Prepare staff accounts submissions for payroll processing.
- Handle wage payments, overtime calculations, and leave balance records.
- Manage staff advances, deductions, and levy calculations.
- Submit payroll information to relevant authorities (e.g., NBCEI).
Supplier & Customer Account Management:
- Reconcile supplier accounts and process invoices.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Manage accounts payable and issue timely payments.
- Ensure accurate customer invoicing and track payments.
- Handle customer deposits and reconcile transactions.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and collections.
Project Finance Support:
- Maintain project costings and track financial progress.
- Provide project-related financial information to managers.
- Ensure timely communication regarding deadlines and financial requirements.
- Update financial data in the project management system.
General Finance Duties:
- Assist in financial record-keeping and compliance.
- Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash transactions.
- Conduct stock valuation for cost of sales.
- Support financial audits and annual financial statement preparation.
Administrative Support:
- Provide assistance to the General Manager as required.
- Handle supplier communication and order processing.
- Answer finance-related queries and support internal teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with payroll administration and supplier management is an advantage.
