OUR CLIENT IS A HIGH-QUALITY EQUIPMENT SUPPLIER FOR ENGINEERING, WELDING, AND MINING COMPANIES IN SOUTH AFRICA. THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A TECHNICIAN TO JOIN THEIR DYNAMIC TEAM. JOB PURPOSE: Repair and maintenance of Engin driven, Electrical and Pneumatic equipment.Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and test defective machines.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to manufacturers and Renttech specifications.
- Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
- Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with manufacturers and Renttech specifications.
- Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts or equipment.
- Identify different models of welding units and their primary functions.
- Requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that machines can be maintained and repaired.
- Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance and prioritise according to supervisor’s requirements.
- Record maintenance information.
- Assist in rental stocktaking from time to time.
- Performing additional related duties as assigned by the manager.
Minimum Qualification: Matric/ Grade 12
Qualification: Trade Test
Other:
- 5+ years’ experience.
- Strong administrative orientation.
- Trustworthy.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and organizational skills.
- Ability to think proactively and strong attention to detail.
- Must be a team player, self-motivated and demonstrate a can-do attitude.
- Understand and work with a focus on safety and quality.
- Maintain a neat and organised work environment.
- Ability to perform duties and deliberate speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision.
