Supplier performance management experience. Able to collaborate, build rapport and influence various teams, Africa wide. Strong MS Office skills, and Transport Management System experience (pref.). Support the Logistics Manager in embedding best practices, minimum standards, policies, processes, tools, technology and enablers, through the Outbound Logistics and Sales Way and capability development strategy. Develop, maintain the needed reports and keep updated to provide accurate shipment visibility. Liaise and guide Business Unit teams (Country teams) with shipping queries and insurance claims. Co-ordinate BU operational meetings to support teams, as well as provide updates on logistics movements. Collaborate with BU teams and shipping lines to develop and execute both regional and sea freight forecasts. Manage the physical bookings, and ensure the accurate and timely movement of goods to achieve targeted volume timelines. Communicate updates with customer and Sales team on delivery status for selected key routes that require consolidation. Act as an escalation point for service queries. Provide insight, review and interrogate data input for exports dashboard. Analyse export data and make recommendations on ways of improvement. Facilitate solutions to improve Total Cost of Logistics and improve movement efficiency (reducing touches). Work closely with BU teams to ensure key performance indicator tracking is updated in each country. Consolidate, track and share export KPIs with the business and liaise with BU teams to proactively identify and implement solutions to meet or exceed targets and reduce operational costs. Interrogate new contracts, new routes and new markets, on logistical requirements and optimisation, collate information and conduct trials to ensure execution is seamless and the cost calculated correctly. Support the tender processes and manage the performance and implement strategic improvements. Create, review and audit relevant standard operating procedures (as required).
