Description:
The reservations manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the reservations systems and processes for the company, ensuring that guests can easily make reservations, maintains accurate records, and coordinating with other department to ensure the guest experience runs smoothly.
Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:
· Tertiary level qualification – preferably in Hospitality Management or similar
· Minimum 7 years of experience of which at least 2 to 3 years in similar role, in a five-star property advantage.
· Strong Operational/Technical Knowledge.
Key Performance Objectives:
Oversee the daily operations of the reservations department, ensuring efficient and accurate booking processes. Maintain an efficient administration system within the department Assist with accurately maintaining guest database to ensure effective mailings & correct guest history. Take accountability for the performance of the reservation’s functions for all three properties. Manage a team of reservation agents, providing guidance, training, and support. Ensure an efficient and accurate reservation system. Manage the reservation systems and ensure proper input, updates, and accurate reporting. Handle guest queries and resolve booking issues. Develop and implement strategies to optimize occupancy rates and revenue. Assist the Group Revenue Manager with generation of departmental reports as well as day-to-day activities Monitor reservation trends and generate reports for management. Work closely with internal and external departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. Communicate promotions, special offer, packages and client booking incentives externally and internally to all relevant team members.
