Description:
The primary payroll objective of this position is to ensure that all aspects of iX Engineers (Pty) Ltd payroll is processed in an accurate and timeous manner in accordance with all the BCEA, SARS & Labour Relations Act of South Africa, in addition administers general HR and Finance administrative functions within the organization. The Payroll and Administration Manager also manages the administration of employee compensation and benefits and provides support to HR operations. The position supervises a small team of facilities staff as needed.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY.
Payroll Operations
Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of monthly salaries. Maintain payroll records, statistics, leave records and payroll related information on the payroll software. Ensure compliance with all legislation pertaining to payroll. i.e. - BCEA, Labour Legislation, SARS, Retirement Funds and Medical Aid. Assist with maintenance and interpretation of awards data. Respond to and satisfy all staff queries on pay and related matters. In conjunction with HR, process all terminations and new starters in accordance with payroll legislation. Administer the SAGE 300 ESS system as a super user. Ensure salary packaging benefits are managed in accordance with the Labour Relations Act, SARS, BCEA and company policy. Always ensure the integrity of the payroll system and data. Maintain and upgrade the payroll system as and when required.Benefits Administration
Manage the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. Ensure accurate employee benefits enrolment and track eligibility, coordinating with benefits providers. Act as the point of contact for employee questions on benefits, enrolment, and changes, working with the benefits provider as needed. Monitor benefits costs and work with management to suggest cost-effective benefit options. Responsible for compensation and benefits including job grading of positions and evaluation process aligned to payroll. Process all records and claims in relation to Workmen's Compensation in conjunction with SHERQ.HR Administration
Maintain employee records, ensuring all data is up-to-date and in compliance with legal regulations. Support onboarding processes by ensuring new hires are added to the payroll system and provided with the necessary benefits information. Coordinate with HR to manage employees leave, absence tracking, and update payroll and benefits records accordingly.Payroll Accounting
