About the Role:
We are looking for a Legal Associate, focusing on transaction execution, post-transaction monitoring, and recoveries. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a strong legal mindset, and the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors.
Key Responsibilities:
Vetting the legal terms and conditions of deals before Credit Committee approval.
Drafting and reviewing legal agreements, including Loan Agreements, Pledge and Cession Agreements, and Guarantees.
Managing the registration of securities such as mortgage bonds and notarial bonds.
Overseeing compliance with deal conditions prior to fund disbursement.
Handling commercial recoveries from initiation to full fund recovery.
Providing legal support in corporate and commercial matters.
Performing KYC/FICA/AML/PEP checks.
Assisting credit analysts and operations teams with legal queries.
Drafting regulatory and non-standard security agreements.
Ensuring all client documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly recorded.
Requirements:
Admitted Attorney with a Law Degree.
5+ years of post-articles experience in commercial litigation.
Strong knowledge of financial services and structured finance transactions.
Exceptional attention to detail and documentation management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong ability to manage conflict and litigation-related recoveries.
Tech-savvy and comfortable working in a digital environment.
