Description:

This role requires a commercially astute professional with deep expertise in procurement governance, contract management, and supplier risk mitigation within a regulated financial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with corporate objectives, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management. Drive supplier relationship management, ensuring long-term strategic partnerships that enhance service delivery and cost savings. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and procurement best practices within the insurance and investment industry. Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including finance, legal, and risk teams, to align procurement initiatives with broader business goals. Optimize procurement policies and governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to industry standards and internal controls. Manage procurement budgets and cost-saving initiatives, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies and value creation. Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance procurement decision-making and supplier evaluation.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification (CIPS, MCIPS, or MBA) is highly advantageous. 8-10 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a senior/leadership role. Industry experience in financial services, insurance, or investment is essential. Strong understanding of procurement regulations, governance frameworks, and compliance within the financial sector. Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation. Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in ERP procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and data analytics tools.
