Cape Town: My client, a leading provider of innovative climate solutions, is looking for a results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to drive sales, build strong client relationships, and grow within a thriving industry. About the role: This role focuses on business development and sales within the Industrial Sector, specifically in airside and applied solutions, including fan coil units, scroll chillers, and heat pumps. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and a passion for delivering value-driven solutions to customers.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Driving new business development within the Western Cape region
- Building and managing a strong customer portfolio and identifying new business opportunities
- Conducting site surveys, assessing customer requirements, and providing tailored HVAC solutions
- Preparing and following up on quotations while maintaining accurate sales records
- Collaborating with internal teams to develop and execute business strategies
- Achieving sales targets and preparing monthly sales forecasts
- Attending technical and sales meetings as required
- Minimum of 4 years’ technical sales experience within the industrial sector (e.g. generator and / or HVAC industry)
- Strong knowledge of airside products and solutions
- An engineering qualification will be advantageous (Mechanical, HVAC, or related field) or equivalent technical experience in any of these fields
- Proven ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
- High proficiency in English: Written and verbal
- Strong computer literacy
