Profile
In this position you will be responsible to bring ‘alarm expertise’ to the table and be quick to grasp ‘automation’ layer and merge the two. Ranging from alarm-type to surveillance-type to more advanced IT (e.g. routers etc.) Stay abreast of the latest initiatives in the relevant technical and alarm integration space.
Main Tasks and Duties:
· Assembling panels, gateways and peripherals (integrated with SIM technology) to obtain a working environment (test-bed).
· Biometrics, CCTV and access control installations.
· Responsible for physical installations.
· Technical support on a 1stand 2nd level to resellers and clients (telephonically and/or physically).
· Provide direction and mapping of technical processes.
· Do pre-site inspections i.e. do signal test, internet checks etc.
· Ensure that you obtain and retain the prevailing regulatory obligations required for you to perform your duties in representing the Company.
Job Analysis:
· 20% - Network setup (Sitting in front of PC configuring the hardware).
· 80% - Installation of equipment (Installation of CCTV, Access control & Alarms, etc.)
Qualifications:
Technical qualification will be an advantage
Requirements:
Grade 12 certificate Very sound technical knowledge Understanding of security and/or home automation industry Candidate must be registered with PSIRA and SAIDSA· Minimum 5 years’ experience of handling security or related services and technical installations

Remuneration package:
Undisclosed market related basic salary plus benefits based on experience and expertise.
