Urgently looking for a Manager: Business Unit!!!!!



Job & Company Description:


An exhilarating opportunity is available for Business Unit Manager who is an innovative and energetic professional to develop, manage and oversee the Pet Lounge nationally, ensuring alignment with established policies, procedures, budgets and strategic objectives. The position focuses on maintaining a cost effective and sustainable business unit while managing existing partnerships and evaluating company goals to drive operational efficiency, enhance organisational performance and support overall business success.



The key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Contract and rate negotiations
  • Business development
  • Yield management / revenue growth and revenue targets
  • Customer retention and acquisition
  • Market opportunities and threats
  • Financial Management
  • Audits and regulatory compliance
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Technology development
  • National management and reporting
  • Operational planning
  • People management


As you will be required to hit the ground running extensive experience is essential.

The requirements:


Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Logistic Management (NQF 7) or equivalent (non-negotiable)
  • Functional Training: Winfreight – Operations and Finance, Live Animal Regulations, Compliance Management and Integrated Quality Management Systems (ISQMS)


Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ Key Account Management experience
  • 5 Year experience in the Airline and Freight industry
  • Ability to lead a team with integrity, fairness and in an ethical manner
  • Ability to engage in a tactical and strategic level, whilst able to build strong relationships with internal and external customers


Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of Winfreight Operations and Finance system
  • Effective knowledge of Soutth African Civil Aviation Regulations (SACARs), Basic Conditions od Employment Act, Health and Safety Act and other requirements applicable to the work environment
  • Financial knowledge: Cost, revenue and cash management including date and financial analytics
