Exhilarating contract role for an astounding Cost Accountant....A giant in the FMCG space is looking for a standard costing guru who will accurately process financial information, ascertain and analyse costs and support stakeholders with the interpretation of financial information to enable business decision making for period of 12 months.
The ideal individual for this role will have hands-on experience with cost and management accounting.
The key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Compile and prepare financial information (internal process)
- Prepare and upload month-end journal entries to allocate expenses and reconciliations
- Review and approve general ledger journal allocations based on levels of authority and policy
- Conduct cost analysis to support internal decision making
- Update and maintain cost accounting database systems and procedures
- Attend to general finance, client and SAP queries within agreed time frames
- Contribute to financial controls and planning (Finance)
As you will be responsible for hitting the ground running extensive experience is essential.
Qualification:
- Completed Honours Degree in Accounting, Finance or related
- CA(SA) registration (non negotiable)
- Completed SAICA articles
Experience:
- 2+ years in post articles experience within a FMCG environment
- 2+ years experience in standard costing
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skills and SAP
