Description:
Requirements:Millwright with an N6 certification or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years experience as a Maintenance Manager in regulated industries like pharmaceuticals or manufacturing. Familiar with ISO / GMP Quality Management Systems and preventative maintenance systems. Strong leadership and people management skills Proactive, results driven approach to maintenance operations Highly organised and able to handle multiple priorities
Duties:
Maintenance Oversight
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Oversee repair activities, ensuring rapid response to equipment breakdowns. Maintain records and documentation in line with ISO/GMP quality standards. Assist in the planning and execution of infrastructure and organizational projects, ensuring alignment with operational goals. Prioritize maintenance activities to eliminate potential safety hazards and create a safe working environment. Team Leadership
Manage, mentor, and allocate tasks to the maintenance team. Conduct daily briefings to review progress, plan upcoming tasks, and align on project updates. Foster a culture of accountability, professional growth, and safety awareness within the team. Provide training and coaching to ensure team members understand and adhere to health and safety protocols.
Collaboration
Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to maximize productivity. Work closely with the Operational Director to align goals, strategies, and project objectives. Collaborate with health and safety officer to implement initiatives that minimize risks in maintenance operations and projects. Integrate safety considerations into all strategic maintenance and project planning activities.
Budget & Resource Management
Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, ensuring cost efficiency. Evaluate maintenance expenditure and forecast resource requirements for both day-to-day activities and project needs. Procure tools, equipment, and parts in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with ISO/GMP and other industry regulations. Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, conducting regular inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks. Prepare and maintain documentation required for audits, quality checks, and safety compliance. Promote a safety-first culture by implementing robust safety policies and procedures across the department
