The Container Depot Administration Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the container depot and is responsible for managing administrative functions, including maintaining records, preparing reports, and assisting with logistics operations. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, customer service

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure accurate capturing of container estimates/ quotes Daily follow ups with customer on estimates/ quotes pending approval Daily follow up with Team on estimates/ quotes approved pending completion Ensure accurate record-keeping of container status (empty, loaded, repaired). Ensure all necessary documentation for containers is provided to the customers and filed accordingly Generate and maintain reports on container statuses, maintenance, and revenue. Ensure all records are updated accurately in the customers quotation/ estimate system. Assist customers with inquiries regarding container availability and pricing. Report any safety concerns, discrepancies in estimates / quotes to the Container Depot Manager. Answer phone calls, emails, and other communication channels related to container operations. Perform filing, data entry, and general clerical duties as needed. Preparation and processing of invoices and or credit notes Set up new customers on CMS & Business Central. Liaise with maintenance and repair teams to ensure all tasks are actioned timeously

Minimum Requirements

Post high school diploma or equivalent in Logistics or administration Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in logistics, or a container depot environment. Proficient in MS Office

Skills Required

Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
