Description:
Our client, a well established construction company, specialising in small to medium residential and commercial build projects, seeks to employ aqualified, SACPCMP registered Health and Safety Officer, with experience in the building sector, for their operation in Stellenbosch where you will be reporting to the Health and Safety Manager. Please note that this is NOT suited to candidates from the mining or manufacturing sector, you must have experience in the building sector, working on luxury and high end residential projects and be SACPCMP registered. KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:- You will have completed either SAMTRAC or a Diploma in Safety Management, coupled with 5+ years experience in fully coordinating building project sites, on a regional basis, with a CHSO/ SACPCMP registration essential
- Fall Protection Plan development and HIRA certification is also a requirement
- You must have experience in toolbox talks, incident investigation, reporting, providing HSE support to the team on site and ensure safety is prioritised
- You must have hands on experience in the building sector - specifically on luxury residential projects
- You will be flexible to be site base and have effective communication skills in English and Afrikaans
- A valid driver’s licence is essential
