Join a leading mining company known for excellence and sustainability! Our client seeks a skilled Group Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and drive strategic growth.- Key Responsibilies:
- Consolidate and prepare group financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations across group entities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across the group.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage VAT and income tax submissions for group entities.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance and successful audits.
- Provide support for strategic decision-making through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
Skills & Requirements:
- BCom Degree or Honors in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- AGA(SA) qualification is required.
- 5–8 years of experience in financial accounting, with at least 3 years in a group accounting role.
- Mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
