We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Legal Secretary to join our client's team in Cape Town, Western Cape. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to provide administrative and clerical support to their legal team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to solicitors by managing schedules, drafting legal documents, and handling correspondence Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs Maintain and organise client files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up-to-date Liaise with clients, court officials, and other third parties on behalf of the legal team Manage client billing, file management, and invoicing as required Coordinate meetings, appointments, and court hearings for solicitors Maintain confidentiality and ensure the protection of sensitive legal information Perform general office duties such as answering phone calls, filing, and organising legal paperwork Requirements:
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal software Strong communication skills, both written and verbal High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure A professional and approachable attitude with excellent interpersonal skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information Desirable Skills:
