Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Maintain and manage all allocated debtor accounts. Ensure timely preparation and distribution of statements, adhering to customer requirements and deadlines. Accurately process and capture financial documents, including payments, remittance advices, credit notes, and adjustments. Maintain and update customer master data, including account openings, credit limit adjustments, and stop supply status. Communicate with customers regarding payments, outstanding queries, and requests. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve account discrepancies and queries. Prepare and report on the debtors book at month-end. Perform debtor reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.Banking & Cash Flow Management:
Download and analyze bank statements, ensuring accurate tracking of incoming deposits. Update and monitor daily bank workbooks to ensure all receipts are correctly identified and recorded. Compile and communicate Actuals vs Forecast Reports with management. Maintain organized records of financial transactions and bank statements.Aged Analysis & Credit Management:
Provide aged analysis reports twice a month, including detailed comments on overdue accounts. Ensure all outstanding payments are escalated and resolved in collaboration with key account managers. Process and approve credit notes, coordinating with relevant personnel. Monitor late payments and take necessary actions to ensure timely collections.Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Ensure daily approvals are conducted and documented. Conduct investigations and liaise with relevant personnel for credit approvals. Prepare and submit accruals and settlement reports to the Group Financial Manager (GFM) within the required deadlines. Compile and maintain an AR Daily Consolidated Report, tracking aged analysis, banking records, and cash flow.Statement & Reconciliation Management:
Structure and distribute customer statements via various platforms. Ensure reconciliation of debtors accounts is completed by the 15th of each month. Investigate and resolve billing queries as needed. Assist with the automation of financial reports and processes.Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Credit Management 5 or a Finance-related degree. Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a supervisory role within credit or finance. Skills & Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. <
