Requirements:- Grade 12 plus relevant Tertiary Accounting/Bookkeeping qualification
- Minimum 5+ years' experience of full-function accounting including financial statements
- Sound knowledge of and experience in Microsoft office including advanced Excel.
- Experience in accounting software e.g. Pastel/Xero
- Experience in time & billing software e.g. Deltek Vantagepoint advantageous
- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Dynamic, motivated and assertive.
- Able to work on own and/or a team
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service ethic
Duties & Responsibilities:
The suitable candidate will be responsible for the full bookkeeping function, including management reports for a consulting engineering business. The candidate will also provide ad hoc admin services to engineering departments.
Duties include the following:
- Full accounting function.
- VAT and employees tax submissions.
- Processing, capturing, and reconciling of debtors documents.
- Compile invoices and supporting documentation from time sheets.
- Capturing and reconciliation of debtors payments.
- Reconciliation of debtors accounts.
- Follow up on payments receivable.
- Liaising with debtors on account queries.
- Processing of suppliers.
- Cash flow forecasts preparation.
- Other ad hoc tasks are required from time to time.
