Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Review and process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the year-end audit and liaise with auditors as required.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Experience and Skills Required
- BCom degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance.
- Completion of articles with a minimum of 4 years' experience in accounting or finance. Clerks who have completed articles are also welcome to apply.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
