Our client is seeking a Data Scientist to spearhead their analytics and data science agenda within the underwriting team. This role is all about turning raw data into actionable insights, optimizing underwriting models, and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions that drive business success.

What Youll Do:

• ð??? Turn Data into Business Value:
• Design and implement predictive models, AI-driven risk assessments, and advanced analytics solutions to optimize underwriting, claims, sales, and product design.

Analyze vast datasets to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks that drive smarter decision-making. Ensure data integrity and accuracy, constantly improving data collection processes and governance. ð?¤ Collaborate & Influence: Partner with underwriting, sales, and product teams to develop data-driven strategies that enhance performance. Present complex analytical findings in a way that non-technical stakeholders can easily understand and act upon. Drive buy-in for AI-driven decision-making, influencing the adoption of advanced analytics across the business. ð?? Build & Optimize Models: Develop and maintain machine learning models, including classification, anomaly detection, regression, and neural networks. Oversee the migration of models to cloud platforms, ensuring scalability and efficiency. Continuously refine models by monitoring their effectiveness and retraining as needed. ð??? Lead & Innovate: Stay ahead of industry advancements in AI, data science, and machine learning methodologies to introduce best-in-class solutions. Mentor and coach Junior Data Scientists and Analysts, fostering a high-performing analytics culture. Support the development of data infrastructure and BI tools, ensuring that the organization has the right platforms to support analytics initiatives.
What You Bring:
â?? 4-6 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or risk modeling. â?? Python, SQL Server, Power BI, Excel, and Azure (advantageous). â?? Expertise in machine learning techniques such as classification models, anomaly detection, regression, and neural networks. â?? Experience working with big data, cloud technologies, and API integrations. â?? A Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
