A well-established business is seeking to appoint Procurement Lead To ensure the successful procurement of goods and services for the business, in alignment with company policies and established targets related to delivery, pricing, and quality. The role will also provide support in quantity surveying duties for operational plants. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: National Diploma or Degree in Procurement and/or Supply chain Management or any other relevant Tertiary Qualification Computer literate with BuildSmart, Excel Advanced and PowerPoint Advanced A valid RSA driver’s license EXPERIENCE: 5 years’ experience working in procurement in a fast-paced environment, of which at least a year in a supervisory capacity. Experience in international procurement will be advantageous. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILTIES: Knowledge of procurement best practices and supporting Continuous Supply Chain improvement and optimisation. Understanding engineering contract law. Strong attention to detail along with the ability to discover potential risks. A skilled communicator, excellent writing skills with good negotiation and mediation skills. Excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. Understanding of BBBEE legislation and requirements, relating to preferential procurement including supplier and enterprise development. Knowledge of relevant frameworks (legislative and international standards) pertaining to procurement and understanding how that impacts operations. Strong business focus, commercial acumen and business case development. Supplier and internal partnering, relationship & performance management. Project Management. procurement.
