A well-established company is seeking a Millwright / Semi-Skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, and the ability to communicate effectively in Afrikaans. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical fault finding and problem resolution.
• Install, inspect, and test mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with the maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

Requirements

• Millwright Trade Test Certificate (for qualified candidates) or relevant technical qualification.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Afrikaans (spoken and written) is essential.
• Willingness to work overtime and respond to breakdowns when required.
• A valid driver’s license is an advantage.
