Description:

  • To manage and organise task to ensure shift works efficiently and effectively. Shift leader shares responsibilities with other team members on shift, such as operations, delegating task, troubleshooting, reports, and other administrative tasks. Plans and coordinates weekly and daily requirements for the manufacturing department.

    Key Outputs:

Ensures efficient and productive performance standard is attained in line with site recoveries Recommends continuous improvement within manufacturing about personnel training, SHE, quality and equipment maintenance. Provide ongoing informal feedback to team and formal performance management tasks Manage ordering of raw materials, intermediate stock, and bulk product inventories both physically and electronic transactions Review and reconciliation of production documentation Ensure yields are compliant and initiate investigations for non-compliances Audit documents post manufacturing Prioritise action on arising shift problems Report deviations to Pharmacist and Manager Participate in internal and external quality audits Lead departmental stock take Monitor downtimes and assist with problem solving and corrective actions Set shift KPI (aligned to department/site targets) and ensure Daily Weekly Shift Targets are met Conduct shift handover and MBU meetings Direct, administer and controls hourly operations and activities Ensures compliance is upheld based on quality, SHE, regulatory and cGMP standards Champion in implementing the production plan and monitor departmental outputs Ensures clear communication of set weekly and daily target to team members Formulates area specific quality goals (reduced batch failures, improved outputs, increased OOE) and facilitate action plans Provide support and guidance to team members Ensure timeous availability of production materials, main contact between Dispensary and Warehouse. Ensures that the areas and equipment are clean and ready for use as per SOP Ensure that documentation /materials are checked as per SOP Ensure that sign off processes are done before declaration of areas or end of shift

Minimum Requirements:

2 - 3 years’ supervisory experience Manufacturing Environment Similar or related Degree or Diploma in Production management or Business Management Pharmaceutical cGMP knowledge advantageous Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, Oracle preferred
