JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily and long-term sales target across a geographic region. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for setting and adjusting sales goals based on your deep knowledge of individual store selling patterns. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the training of Sales Consultants and Key Accounts, and Consultants in the region s/he is responsible for.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives. Support and mentor sales representatives with their day-to-day activities Evaluate store and individual performances. Manage key accounts. Determine long-term and short-term sales goals. Oversee product and supply ordering and shipment to meet regional needs. Report on regional sales results. Forecast quarterly and annual profits. Identify hiring needs, selecting and train new salespeople. Prepare and review the annual budget for your area of responsibility. Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth. Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions. Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction. JOB/EDUCATIONAL/QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 5 plus years of sales experience in the wholesale and hardware industry 5 plus years in a managerial role Knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically PowerPoint and Excel Excellent analytical skills and comfort with maths Extensive road travel Valid Drivers license and own vehicle SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills Analytical, numerically astute, with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Creative problem-solving skills Ability to multitask Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work well in teams
