My client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, supplier management, and optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Strategy & Cost Management:
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency.

Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and supplier reliability. Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to ensure competitive purchasing. Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers. Negotiate favorable contracts, pricing, and terms to enhance business operations. Evaluate supplier performance and ensure the on-time delivery of materials. Inventory & Demand Planning: Collaborate with production and planning teams to ensure inventory aligns with business needs. Monitor stock levels, forecast material requirements, and mitigate supply chain risks. Ensure that procurement aligns with manufacturing schedules to prevent disruptions. Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices. Continuously assess and enhance procurement processes to improve efficiency. Work closely with finance and operations teams to ensure budget compliance and cost control.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. 5 or more years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment. Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills. Experience working with ERP systems and procurement software. Excellent knowledge of supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization.
