Description:
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for:- Create, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and a procurement charter for purchasing and contract management.
- Ensure the procurement department operates in line with the International Corporate Responsibility Framework (ICRF).
- Manage the supply base effectively and monitor supplier performance to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Represent the company in contract negotiations and the development of supplier agreements.
- Develop strategies to meet the companys needs for quality, price, and timing by sourcing from the right suppliers.
- Establish procedures for addressing non-conformances and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Participate in the CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) tendering process, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and ensuring the products and services meet the required standards.
- Oversee the creation and processing of purchase orders.
- Deliver internal training on best practices in procurement and the procure-to-pay process.
- Maintain comprehensive records of procurement requests, goods ordered and received, and generate relevant status reports.
- Address and resolve vendor disputes, payment issues, and supplier claims.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production planners, demand planners, warehouse staff, product managers, R&D, and other stakeholders, to ensure alignment and project support.
- Continuously identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance procurement operations across the business. What Do You Need?:
- Degree, Diploma in related field
- CIPS will be advantageous
- Leadership skills
