A leading global company is looking for a dedicated Buyer to manage the procurement of goods and services. The role involves optimizing supply base management, resolving supplier payment issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.- As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Procure goods and services to ensure they meet the required quality, quantity, price, and delivery timelines to optimize business value.
- Maintain a robust and dependable supplier base, ensuring procurement practices align with business needs and best practices.
- Lead or participate in projects, ensuring successful outcomes as either the project leader or a key team member.
- Address and resolve issues related to supplier payments and blocked invoices.
- Collaborate with local and global teams, as well as cross-functional departments, to align procurement activities with business goals and drive results.
- Follow all company policies and procurement procedures while educating colleagues on effective purchasing systems and practices.
- Update key documents such as budgets, sourcing portfolios, spending reports, and KPIs on a weekly basis to ensure accurate tracking.
- Proactively identify and report potential supply chain risks to the business in a timely manner.
- Manage and resolve supplier claims, ensuring effective and timely resolution.
What Do You Need?:- Degree, Diploma in related field
- CIPS will be advantageous
- 3-5 years' experience in a buying role
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
