Responsibilities:

Collaborate with HR to develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures, aligning with company goals and legal requirements. Serve as the main point of contact for all employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters. Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances, offering solutions and recommendations. Represent the company in disciplinary matters, including CCMA, Bargaining Council, and Labour Court cases. Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws and regulations. Handle negotiations with labour unions and participate in collective bargaining agreements. Monitor employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement. Develop and deliver training programs on employee relations topics for managers and employees. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in employee relations, providing improvement recommendations. Maintain accurate records and reports related to employee relations activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing or construction. Extensive experience representing the company in internal disciplinary matters and CCMA cases. Experience dealing with Bargaining Councils and unions is highly advantageous. Must be fluent in Xhosa (both written and verbal). Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations.

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in conflict resolution and problem-solving. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
