About the Role
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Project Officer – Accounts & Grant Management to join a leading environmental conservation organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, grant management, and accounting oversight for various projects, ensuring compliance with program rules, policies, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in budget establishment and monitoring for the office and sub-awarded partner grants. Manage quarterly and monthly financial planning and budget advance cycles. Conduct financial reviews to ensure compliance with policies and program regulations. Validate project report balances on a monthly basis. Monitor payments and financial reports for grant agreements. Prepare and consolidate financial reports and cash flow projections with supporting documentation. Oversee and monitor partner contracts to ensure compliance. Act as the main point of contact for program financial matters, including reviewing and uploading reports, conducting budget reviews, and verifying invoices before submission. Establish and maintain the Fixed Assets register. Support audit and compliance requests in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer.Qualifications & Experience
Degree or diploma in Finance or Accounting. Minimum five years of accounting experience. Experience with financial management and reporting in project-based environments. Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite is an advantage. Experience managing US government donor-funded or multi-partner project budgets would be beneficial.
