Description:
Reporting and Reporting controls- Responsible for assisting in the management of the general ledgers
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations including the follow up on outstanding items
- Monthly reconciliation and confirmation of intercompany loan accounts
- Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register including the following: - the allocation and addition of Fixed Assets -reconciliation of the fixed asset clearing account - Monthly generation of depreciation - Reconciliation of the fixed asset register to the general ledger in Great Plains
- Preparation and timely submission of monthly Vat returns via e-filing by the 25th of each month:
- Preparation and capturing of monthly and adhoc journals
- Preparation of monthly expense accruals and variance analysis
- Review of bank reconciliations
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Ensuring that monthly/quarterly and year end deadlines are met
- Adhoc accounting and administrative assistance as and when required

Qualifications
- B.Com degree or similar qualification
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience as a junior accountant.
- Audit experience will be an added advantage
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge of Computer Skills: Microsoft Word; Excel; accounting software; and MS Office
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting
- General computer literacy to at least intermediate level (Windows, MS Word and Excel).
- It would be advantageous if the applicant has the following:
