Description:
Duties:Ensure the efficient and profitable running of the kitchen.
Versatile and able to work in all sections
Must be consistent in delivering exceptionally high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.
Being actively involved in menu development and being up to date with the latest food trends.
Working closely with Executive chef in creating and elevating all aspects of the culinary experience.
The ability to develop, train and inspire a diverse team of junior chefs.
Being proactive in managing food control systems to ensure margins are maintained.
Requirements:
Grade 12 & a formal culinary qualification
A minimum of 5 years experience
Restaurant experience / high volume experience essential
Good communicator
Obvious cooking skills
Able to assist with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Will report to Head Chef directly
Own transport essential
Able to control the pass during service
Assist the head chef in all areas of preparation
