Area/Location: Diep River, Cape TownKey Responsibilities:
Accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company. Develop financial and operational strategies along with metrics to measure their effectiveness. Ensure ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. Ensure financial performance and statutory compliance to limit business risk and maximize profitability. Direct and control financial, accounting, legal, and board secretarial activities. Provide financial services to all companies and divisions within the group. Deliver relevant accounting, management, and statistical information to enhance decision-making and policy development. Manage the Finance Team, including Procurement, ensuring effective completion of all financial responsibilities and duties. Duties Include but Are Not Limited To:
Maintain and ensure the effectiveness of internal controls. Oversee asset control and accountability, including the Fixed Asset Register. Manage creditors and debtors' functions, including doubtful debts. Handle foreign exchange management. Prepare monthly management packs. Minimize insurance and risk exposure. Manage cash flow and working capital. Attend monthly and year-end stock takes. Oversee product costing and bill of materials management. Manage taxation matters, including VAT, UIF, PAYE, SOL, WHT, and Income Tax. Implement finance policies and procedures, including IFRS. Sign off on payroll. Maintain cheque signing authority. Prepare budgets and forecasts. Review and sign off General Ledger reconciliations. Oversee year-end audits. Participate in board meetings. Handle company secretarial duties. Conduct BBBEE verification audit financial statements and documentation. Perform other ad hoc duties as directed by the CEO and/or the Board. Requirements:
CA qualification. 10 years of proven experience in a financial environment with a strong focus on budgeting, financial monitoring, and analytical skills. Demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager. High level of computer literacy. Strong business acumen. Knowledge of imports and exchange rate management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and meet deadlines. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to monitor and evaluate supplier contracts. Excellent verbal and written comm
