Key Responsibilities:Curate and manage a diverse and high-quality wine list, ensuring it aligns with the lodges dining experiences and guest preferences. Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings to enhance the overall dining experience for our guests. Conduct wine tastings and educational sessions for guests and staff, sharing your expertise and enthusiasm for wine. Maintain and organize the wine cellar, including inventory management, ordering, and ensuring proper storage conditions. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop wine-pairing menus and integrate wine selections with seasonal and special event offerings. Stay current with wine trends and industry developments to continually refine and elevate the wine program. Deliver exceptional service, addressing guest inquiries and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of wines, including varietals, regions, and wine-making processes. Proven experience as a Sommelier in a high-end or luxury hospitality environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for guest service. Ability to educate and engage guests and staff about wine in an approachable and informative manner. Excellent organizational skills with experience in inventory management and procurement. Relevant certification or educational background in wine or hospitality.
