Description:
Duties:Administration.
Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the lodge to ensure the lodge runs smoothly.
Maintain high standard in guest satisfaction and service
Responsible for following standard operating procedures
Ensure all incoming guests requirements, rooms and particulars are in place.
Check-ins and check-outs
Host breakfast, lunch, high tea (do prep and host) and dinner when on duty.
Coordination of service
Managing stock, breakages, stock taking
Manage staff in terms of and food service
Being a role model and maintaining good staff discipline and fair treatment of staff
Do Housekeeping room checks
Assist in any way as directed including supervising of shop and stocktaking.
Processing bar sales, stock control and ordering
Relieves Assistant Lodge Manager during leave cycle and perform all duties relevant to the position.
Assist with special sundowners, pancake stops and Ice Cream stops.
Requirements:
Grade 12 and a formal Qualification
Minimum of 2 years work experience within 5* lodges
High standard of service excellence and passion for the industry
Exceptional F&B knowledge
Awareness of dietaries & allergies
Financial management ability
Computer literate
Excellent management ability & communication skills
Clear understanding of basic labour law and disciplinary procedure
A development approach to staff
Understating of housekeeping & maintenance procedures
Awareness of developments within the food & lodge industries
Hardworking
Attention to detail
Assertiveness, patience & good organizational skills
