Description:
We are dedicated to delivering high-performance, robust, and reliable vehicles that ensure safety and operational success in challenging environments. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of state-of-the-art armored vehicles.Role Overview:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer Armored Vehicles, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge armored vehicle systems. You will be responsible for creating innovative mechanical solutions to enhance vehicle performance, survivability, and functionality while meeting stringent safety and operational standards. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including defense experts, Project Managers, and manufacturing teams, to ensure that all mechanical systems meet the requirements for armored vehicle production.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical systems and components for armored vehicles, focusing on performance, durability, safety, and manufacturability. Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) to create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and prototypes for armored vehicle parts and assemblies. Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines (e.g., electrical, structural, and systems engineering) to ensure integrated designs. Conduct design calculations, simulations, and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate mechanical systems and components for strength, durability, and operational efficiency. Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure seamless transition from design to production, including prototyping, testing, and iteration of designs. Analyze and optimize vehicle subsystems, including suspension, drivetrain, armor, and chassis components, for performance under extreme conditions. Support the development of vehicle specifications, technical documentation, and detailed design reports for both internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that designs comply with military standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols. Conduct regular reviews of designs to incorporate lessons learned, operational feedback, and new technology developments. Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical design issues that arise during testing, assembly, or field use. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the functionality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of armored vehicles.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (Masters preferred). Experience in mechanical design engineering, ideally within the defense, automotive, or military vehicle sectors. Proven experience in designing complex mechanical systems for arm
