QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree or higher in Mining Engineering, Education, or a related field will be an advantage. 5+ years of experience in the operation and maintenance of underground mining equipment, with a focus on safety and productivity Experience developing and delivering training materials in a classroom and field setting. Knowledge of adult learning principles and current training best practices Train the trainer qualification Drivers License Advanced Computer skills Passing Mine Medical Inductions is a requirement. Government Certificate of Competency in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALITY
Adhere to company standards, policies and procedures as well as customer standards at all times.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in the workplace and at the customer. Maintain machinery, equipment and other related items in their assigned Departments in order to maintain an orderly approach to all operations. Maintain safety standards and comply with the Companys safety instructions and requirements at all times. Use the appropriate personal safety equipment and obey all the safety signs. Report processes or personnel that contravene safety, environment standards and practices.
DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING STANDARDS
Continuously develop and maintain yourself to keep abreast with new technology and developments in your line of duty within the Personal Development Plan, discussed with your direct supervisor/manager.
NEW MACHINE DELIVERIES
All new machines delivered to the customer, includes training for 3 operators, it is your responsibility to provide proper operator training to the prospective operators and to ensure that proper training material is available for their future reference.
OVER INSPECTION
A over inspection will be conducted on request from the mines management to identify and rectify bad operating habits.
REPORTING
All reports must be submitted on a weekly basis to the Training Coordinator. Provide the Training Coordinator with a weekly report summarizing the training completed for the week and the future training plan.
COURTESY CALLS
One of the most important parts of the business is the relationship with the customer, to ensure an ongoing relationship it is important for the trainer to get to the mines and identify any needs that may arise and also get information from the customer on any new develop
