POSITION OVERVIEW
The Packaging and Resource Manager will oversee and optimise the allocation of resources within our production and operations environment. This role will coordinate personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure the efficient and timely production of high-quality goods. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational and leadership skills and will be adept at balancing multiple production priorities.
REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer
REQUIREMENTS
Relevant tertiary qualification. Prior supervisory or management experience in relevant field will be advantageous.Intermediate-level math skills Ability to read and write English. Strong Computer Literacy Strong analytical skill set will be beneficial. Technical knowledge in understanding of packaging materials, equipment and production processes. Ability to work within a team. Able to work accurately with high volumes of work Good communication skills Self-disciplined must be able to work without supervision while meeting set targets Reliable and punctual Able to apply own initiative Good decision-making skills Be able to build strong relationships internally, and externally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
REPORTING AND DOCUMENTATION
Maintain accurate records related to resource allocation and inventory levels. Generate regular reports to senior management highlighting resource utilisation, performance and areas of improvement. Ensure documentation of production processes, equipment maintenance, and staff training is up to date and readily available for audits. Forecasting resource needs based on production schedules. Allocating resources effectively across different production lines. Monitoring resource utilisation and identifying potential bottlenecks.EQUIPMENT
Ensure the efficient management of all packing equipment (CHEP, FM Crates, Pallets, Bins, and Farm Equipment) according to current Standard Operating Procedures.STAFF
Be able to function within a matrix leadership environment. Build and manage a strong team of skilled staff. Ensure staff are trained, equipped and capable of doing the job required. Ensure the number of staff in each area matches the demands of the business. Staff performance and discipline. Manage leave and time schedules according to HR procedures.PACKAGING MANAGEMENT
