Minimum Requirements:Grade 12 and GMF Modules with practical tests passed. 10+ years experience as a Production/Milling Manager leading a team of 30+. 5+ years experience in food safety (HACCP, ISO, FSSC). Experience in people management, industrial relations, and performance management. Basic mechanical skills (sifter maintenance, roll changes, V-belts). Training in Dryer/Heater Bank Systems. Additional qualifications (postgraduate certificate/degree) are advantageous. Fumigation, raw material grading, and OHS/safety training are an advantage. Forklift license is beneficial. Oversee the milling process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with specifications. Manage technical value drivers such as milling tons, gain, extractions, rejects, and hygiene. Conduct daily milling meetings to review performance, address downtime, and implement corrective actions. Ensure raw material grading, recording, and traceability. Optimize drying systems, grinding machines, and mix-back processes. Monitor and maintain pest control and hygiene standards. Maintain calibrated equipment and oversee scheduled maintenance. Ensure product quality meets customer specifications. Manage mill staff performance, training, and discipline. Track and report production metrics, ensuring stock reconciliation and allocation. Control staff schedules, shifts, leave, and overtime to maintain operational efficiency.
