Job Description
- Design and develop electronic systems for Proximity Detection Systems
- Develop embedded applications for microcontrollers / microprocessor in control systems
- Design Electronic applications from schematic capture, PCB layout to test, planning and implementation to meet requirements, using good engineering practices
- Support and maintain existing product designs
- Develop component qualification processes for extreme environments
- Continually improve design methodology and development processes
- Define internal interfaces between parts of the electronics
- Consider system aspects that may affect the electronics, including noise and power distribution.
- Implement the design in hardware, firmware and soft ware
- Test the hardware and implement corrections as necessary
- Generate production data packs and product support documentation
- Maintain existing products in terms of soft ware changes, PCB updates, firmware changes and documentation
- Simulations of the design at various levels
- Assist production to deliver high quality product
- Derive requirements for the complex electronics
- Ensure external interfaces match the specification, including voltage level and timing.
- Program complex electronics
- Test the final hardware and implement corrections as necessary
- Perform system safety analyses and identify safety verifications required
- Identify if complex electronics can cause a hazard or are part of a hazard control
- Ensure that design errors in complex electronics are considered as a failure mode
- Assess tools used to design and implement complex electronics
