Educational Requirements
A bachelors degree in food science and Meat Science (strongly preferred) Any of the listed Food Safety Certifications - HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) standards and Hygiene Practice, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and OHSAS 18001 - Occupational Health and Safety Management System (essential as nature of job requires) Experience Requirements
3 - 5 years working experience in meat-related field At least 2 years of managerial experience in a similar position Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Abaserve General Competence Required
Excellent communication (written, verbal) Fluent in English (essential), Xhosa (preferable) Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Very responsible, hardworking, dedicated, and very passionate about production Organized and able to work under pressure with excellent time management skills Detail-oriented with prolonged attention span Business-minded and able to make informed decisions Excellent managerial skills
