- 3 years of experience in a NOC role, with at least one network qualification.
- Proficiency with Ubiquiti, Cambium, or similar wireless vendors.
- Solid understanding of IP networking, dynamic routing protocols, and ISP design networks.
- Must have own vehicle (non-negotiable)
- Basic knowledge of PtMP wireless technologies, 5GHz, and 2GHz applications.
- Expertise in network topology, including access and core networks, and the impact of failures on link capacity and upstream/downstream nodes.
- Capability to manage escalations in the absence of the NOC Manager and oversee infrastructure team responses.
- Fast detection and analysis of node failures, with detailed explanations of impact and causes.
- A strong foundation in networking at the CCNP level.
- As a Network Engineer you should possess these skills and competencies to effectively manage and optimize the network infrastructure at a Tier 3 level. Responsibilities:
Field Teams:
- Monitor Field Team groups for escalations and assistance requests, including switch renaming, device connection issues, and bespoke requests. PRTG Monitoring:
- Frequent monitoring of PRTG during shifts to identify offline sites/sectors.
- Alert the Internal NOC group of any offline sites/sectors at the start and end of shifts.
