Description:

A well-established company, based in George, is looking for a Accounting Support Professional to join their team.

Main Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the reception area, co-ordinate office activities and ensure the smooth running of the office. Provide administrator support duties for the General Manager, Section Heads and Support Services Departments. Process petty Cash pay-outs, update spreadsheet and balance petty cash at least once a week and at month end for submission to finance with petty Cash Spreadsheet, by the 2nd of each month. E-mail Buyer Cards Reports and Booking Slips/Cards Deposits to Finance daily. Compile reports for General Manager as required daily, ie. Market Share from all sections. Assist all sections with administrative duties when required, ie. Checking consignment volumes of stock vs delivery notes daily. Manage and reconcile debtors by processing invoices. Complete month-end financial reconciliations and balance accounts for payment. Complete bank reconciliation daily. Daily reconciliation of clearing accounts/general ledger. Intercompany invoicing and balancing of intercompany accounts. Maintain stock of office supplies, corporate clothing and marketing collateral, place orders with Suppliers. Manage stock of corporate clothing, uniforms, promotional stock, packaging material, stationery issuing invoice / reconciling. Complete age/outstanding debtors reports and distribute internally and to Buyers. Follow up and assist on recovery of debtors with Traders. Prepare debtors statements and distribute accordingly. Match creditors/suppliers invoices to contracts and recording thereof. Prepare creditors reconciliations. Process creditors daily regarding invoices, purchases and orders. Address and resolve queries as and when required. Market card (proxy card) reconciliation and recording to accounts payable. Process pallet invoices to Producers. Recording of pallet accounts. In the absence of the Trust Account Clerk, provide support in respect of daily Trust Account duties and responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Matric / Grade 12, or equivalent. Financial Accounting Diploma or equivalent would be an added advantage. 2+ years experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping role is essential. Advanced MS Excel skills required. Financial and system knowledge (Accpac PJC, ChepPortfolio/MY CHEP, Edi Systems) is essential. Deadline driven and team orientated individual.
