MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS National Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field) Experience in managing a workshop servicing Material Handling Equipment, Heavy Machinery or similar Exposure to LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies Previous experience in Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility or Financial performance managementDUTIES
Drive workshop profitability and financial performance by managing operational costs, increasing labor recovery rates and optimizing resource utilization Develop and implement strategic plans to improve workshop efficiency and revenue generation while ensuring alignment with overall company objectives Ensure service excellence and operational effectiveness by streamlining workflow processes, reducing turnaround time and enhancing workshop productivity Lead, coach and develop a high-performance team by fostering accountability, continuous improvement and adherence to performance targets Enhance customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring timely communication, quality service delivery and proactive problem resolution Monitor and manage key financial metrics, including revenue, gross profit, expenses and overall budget control Ensure adherence to health, safety and compliance regulations (OHSACT and environmental legislation) to create a safe and efficient working environment Optimize inventory and procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve availability of critical parts and components Work closely with Sales and Parts departments to develop and support after-sales service strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives Identify and implement operational improvements through innovation, lean practices and continuous process optimization
