Hire Resolve is seeking a diligent, experienced Assistant Maintenace Manager to join their growing team in Gauteng.Responsibilities:
- Dedicated to supporting maintenance technicians by working in a safe, customer-focused manner; and must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric.
- Project planning and cost analysis.
- Monitor the Company’s Quality program in the station and ensure conformity and implementation of standards.
- Develop business plans and provide guidance and direction for the successful implementation of those plans.
- Responsible for adherence to Company training programs.
- Perform additional duties/assignments that may be required by management from time to time.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Makes emergency road calls to repair trucks.
- Schedules or assigns work to Mechanics, PM Mechanics or other Maintenance Shop personnel.
- Provides oversight and responsible for organization of the yard and facilities at every location within the division.
- Fosters collaboration between and among personnel.
- Ensure adequate training and development of mechanics, leads, and all other shop personnel.
- Discusses maintenance issues, contracts and warranty work with vendors.
- Assists in monthly financial projections and annual budget.
- Responsible for the control of inventory and maintenance of equipment.
- Must have excellent working knowledge of DOT compliance requirements;
- Must be able to travel to locations with in the district;
- Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information;
- CDL Class B with Air Brakes a plus;
- Experience leading, mentoring, and training staff a must;
- Must have ability to motivate staff to meet corp., region, division and district objectives;
- 5+ years management or supervision experience in truck, light or heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Waste industry experience a plus;
- Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair;
- Knowledge of air brake, hydraulic and electrical systems;
- Must have ability to plan, budget, schedule and supervise multiple projects from concept to completion.
