Restaurant Manager – Luxury Wine Estate

A luxury wine estate in the Franschhoek area is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead its front-of-house team. This upmarket estate is known for delivering an exceptional dining experience, combining world-class cuisine with outstanding service in a breathtaking setting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing high-end restaurants, ensuring seamless service, and creating an unforgettable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant and front-of-house team, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Lead, train, and mentor the service team to uphold the estate’s high standards of hospitality. Maintain an exceptional level of guest service, handling reservations, special requests, and customer feedback professionally. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure a seamless connection between front- and back-of-house operations. Manage staff scheduling, ensuring optimal coverage for busy service periods. Monitor restaurant performance, including service quality, customer satisfaction, and financial targets. Ensure all health and safety regulations are met and that hygiene standards are strictly maintained. Assist in wine service and pairing recommendations, ensuring staff are knowledgeable about the estate’s wine offerings. Drive sales and profitability, managing budgets, stock levels, and supplier relationships.Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a high-end, fine dining, or luxury hospitality environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff. Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. Proven ability to manage high-volume service while maintaining a premium dining experience. Knowledge of wines, food pairing, and fine dining etiquette is highly beneficial. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to perform under pressure. Experience in financial management, including budgets, stock control, and cost efficiency. A passion for delivering memorable dining experiences in an upmarket setting.To Apply:
